Sorry I cut you out, Husband.

Hello. My name is Melissa Veres.

(Not to be mistaken with “Martha”, which is tragically common when on the phone.)

(Pronounced Veer-es. No rolling of the R’s either, please)

I’m 26, but have decided to remain 25 until I’m 30. So really, I’m 25.

My 4 year old daughter has the coolest name on the planet. My husband is one of my very best friends – even if he’s literarily clueless.

And I write books. Not yet seeking representation or publication – but it’s coming friends. It’s coming.

You killed my father. Prepare to die.

  1. Thank you so much #1, for taking the time to read my ramblings, and #2 for your very astute advice regarding acceptance. Yes, it is about acceptance. Maybe. Or, I could write my way through to the other side. I want to tell my story…all of it, with dripping heart and all. I will tell it, I will get there….with a little help from my therapist :), and alot of help from divinity. I can’t wait to dig into your writing!!! PS This is Miss Head Full Of Glitter πŸ˜‰

P.S.S. I did not know I was supposed to think of military exes as whores????

    • You are very welcome πŸ™‚ I enjoy finding other people I can relate to! & HA! Many, many people seem to think so. I have a whole cabinet of friends who have also fallen victim to this nasty stereotype. I’m out to change the world, man.

  2. I think it’s awesome you’ve returned to writing. πŸ˜€ It takes guts and drive to write on a regular basis, never mind going back after a dormant period.

    • You are very welcome! I’ve actually been following you for some time – maybe because of NaNo? Something? Either way, I don’t think I’d said hello before tonight. Sorry about that! & thanks for popping by πŸ™‚

  3. Haβ€”the way the caption is lined up with the Princess Bride quote, it looks like the two thoughts go together (“Sorry I cut you out husbandβ€”you killed my father, prepare to die!”) lol
